Compatible, not original
Our filters are made to the dimensions and filtration class of each unit by a European manufacturer of ventilation filters. They are not parts from the maker of your unit: they are built to fit it and to filter as intended. Each model page says where the compatibility comes from and whether it was checked on a machine.
G4, F7, ISO Coarse, ePM1: the same thing under new names
ISO 16890 replaced the G and F classes. ISO Coarse 75% matches the use of the former G4 (standard filter, extract air), ISO ePM1 65% that of the former F7 (pollen and fine particles, supply air). Both names appear on every set.
Finding your unit's model

The rating plate is on the casing, often on the side or behind the filter hatch. The model is written in full.

The manual or the commissioning report give the exact reference and sometimes that of the original filters.

A used filter often has its dimensions written on it or on the label: measure it if in doubt.
Frequently asked questions
Does a compatible filter perform as well as an original one?
At equal class, yes: the ISO 16890 class describes the efficiency of the media, whoever makes it. What changes between filters is the frame, the depth and how it sits in the unit. That is why we document these dimensions and say when a compatibility was checked on a machine.
How often should heat recovery ventilation filters be replaced?
Every six months in most homes, more often near a busy road or with pets. Most units show a reminder. A grey, bulging filter needs changing whatever the date.
What if my model is not listed?
Write to us with the unit's name and, if possible, the dimensions of the current filter. We check what exists before adding it to the catalogue.
Prefer us to do it?
In Brussels, Brabant and Hainaut we replace the filters during your ventilation service, with measured airflows and a report.
