A failing ventilation system does not always announce itself by stopping. More often it becomes noisy, gradually loses performance, or gets stuck on a single speed. The symptoms are vague, and many people simply get used to them.
We always start with a diagnosis: airflow measurements, electrical checks, listening to the motor, inspection of the ductwork and controls. The aim is to find the actual cause, not to default to a full replacement.
We work on the main brands sold in Belgium, including systems whose manufacturer no longer supplies parts — in which case we tell you plainly what can be adapted and what cannot.
Repair or replace?
What the service covers
Full diagnosis
Airflow readings, speed testing, supply and control board checks, verification of sensors and the wall control.
Motor and impeller repair
Bearing replacement, impeller balancing, motor replacement where the part is available.
Electronics and controls
Control board, humidity and CO₂ sensors, run-on timers, switches, home automation connections.
Ductwork and air-tightness
Tracing crushed, disconnected or punctured duct in lofts and suspended ceilings — a common cause of lost airflow that cleaning alone will not reveal.
Noise treatment
Anti-vibration mounts, flexible connectors, duct silencers, repositioning of the unit. Noise almost always has an identifiable mechanical cause.
Unit replacement where needed
Only proposed when repair cannot be justified economically. We give you both figures and you decide.
How the visit works
- 1
Get in touch
Describe the symptom (noise, stoppage, no suction) and the unit's brand if you know it. That lets us bring the most likely parts with us.
- 2
On-site diagnosis
About an hour. You get the findings at the end of the visit, with the readings taken.
- 3
Quote
Repair and replacement priced side by side where both are viable.
- 4
The work
Many repairs can be done straight after the diagnosis if the part is in stock.
- 5
Post-repair check
Fresh airflow and noise readings to confirm the problem is genuinely solved.
Frequently asked questions
Do you handle emergencies?
We prioritise situations where a lack of ventilation creates a risk (rooms with no openable window, commercial kitchens, damp with active mould growth). Call us for those: the form is handled during business hours.
Do you work on all brands?
On the large majority of brands sold in Belgium. For models whose manufacturer has stopped producing parts, we look for a compatible component and tell you honestly whether the adaptation is sound.
Is the diagnosis chargeable?
Call-out and diagnosis are charged at a fixed fee announced before the visit. If you go ahead with the repair, that fee is deducted from the cost of the work. The exact terms appear on your quote.
My ventilation is very noisy — can it be fixed?
In most cases, yes. Noise comes from a worn bearing, an impeller unbalanced by dirt, a unit mounted rigidly against the structure, or excessive air velocity in undersized duct. Each cause has a different remedy: the diagnosis exists precisely so we don't treat the wrong one.
